An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Client Commercial Manager within the JLL Contract. The role is London and South-East centric for approximately 50% of the time, otherwise remote working, but flexibility in hours and travel will be required.

The Client Commercial Manager will be responsible for commercial accuracy and relationship on a high profile strategic account, and overseeing various billing and commercial aspects.

The Client Commercial Manager will work as part of the operational account team, reporting to the G4S Account Director, being customer facing and focussed. 

The role will be responsible for commercial propositions/accuracy and prompt response to customer commercial requests and queries, and overseeing whilst supporting other G4S Finance roles to ensure timely and accurate billing accruals and debt management. 

The key relationships will be an equal measure of the G4S operational account team, G4S finance support functions, and various operational and commercial customer representatives. 

The role will be defined as a ’remote worker’, with travel across Greater London and the South East expected, some travel outside this geography, and some working time in G4S and client offices within Central London.  This is a demanding but high profile role for an enthusiastic, customer-focused commercial professional.

  • Putting in monthly checks, balances and processes to ensure the contracted and temporary revenue on the account is correctly stated and billed
  • Holding the customer to account for internal processes (ie timely resolution of issues)
  • Developing and using, also through others, a commercial costing model that gives the prescribed grow and net profit margins
  • Producing cost options for re-solutioned sites and full or part wage or price increases
  • Producing costings and a monthly commercial return in the format required by the customer
  • Putting into place templates and process for the Finance Shared Service Centre to follow in order to obtain Purchase Orders for the client from the Account Team
  • Signing off and managing the Contract Variation Form process
  • Owning the forecasting of gains and losses; inter-departmental, communication and real-time updating of records
  • Challenging the Account Director and other senior managers, highlighting any profit erosion, billing risks, or others not fulfilling financial remit on the account
  • Regularly meeting with the customer to discuss commercial models, billing processes and debt, and chair meetings and calls with senior participants
  • Reviewing all proffered commercial contracts against a set checklist, charge structure and open source material to ensure they are accurate, feeding back to the customer in a timely manner.
  • Chairing a monthly Commercial Meeting with the Account Director, Contract Accountants, and senior Account team members.
  • Producing timely and accurate management reporting to support Account Management and Finance Team
  • Managing Ad Hoc requests for analysis from the business to support them with their decision making.
  • Travelling regularly to client sites to work with the Account Management and client.
  • Attending a monthly trading review with senior G4S Management

Essential Requirements

  • Working towards or having achieved a recognised accounting qualification
  • Ability to work with non-finance operational staff
  • Highly advanced Excel skills
  • Acting Professionally with mature outlook and demeanour
  • Experience of working capital management
  • Delivering Great Customer Service
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to win the respect and trust of colleagues and customers
  • Highly organised with an excellent ability to manage multiple projects under pressure
  • Highly conscientious and self-motivated with a flexible approach to demands of the role.
  • Excellent communicator with strong written and presentation skills.
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Flexible approach to working hours recognising that the customer’s needs and deadlines are of paramount importance
  • 5 years checkable work history
  • Unrestricted right to work in the UK/EU
  • Fluent written and spoken English

Ideal Requirements

  • Experience at middle-senior management level
  • Experience working in the contract security sector
